Wobbly in sitting? Can sit but stuck there? Commando crawling for agggesss?

I'm Nicole Pates, a paediatric physio with over 15 years experience working with families and this my guideĀ to sitting and crawling for babies 5 to 12 months. It's sitting and crawling made simple, so you can help your baby with confidence

Sitting and crawling are the moves that open up your baby's world, giving them a steady base to play from and the freedom to go and explore. Sitting usually arrives somewhere between 5 and 8 months and crawling 5 and 12 months, and every baby finds their own path through them. Whether your baby is still working towards sitting on their own, loves sitting but gets a bit stuck there, is creeping and pivoting in their own style, or hasn't quite figured out crawling yet, you'll know exactly how to meet them where they are.

Sound Familiar?

  • My baby loves sitting so much they won't get back down to play on the floor.
  • My baby topples over the moment I let go.
  • My baby hates being on their tummy, so how will they ever crawl?
  • My baby is 10 months and not crawling yet, and the questions from family have started...
  • My baby is going backwards or in circles only. Help!
  • My baby has been commando crawling for ages. Help!
  • My baby is bum shuffling. How can I help them learn to crawl? And is it okay to skip crawling

Ā This is exactly why I built this course.

Your baby is not broken and neither are you.Ā

Inside the course, paediatric physiotherapist Nicole Pates walks you through what's really happening as your baby learns to sit and crawl, including the little mini milestones that lead up to each one. You'll see simple, hands-on ways to help your baby get in and out of sitting rather than only being placed there, along with everyday play ideas that build the strength, balance and body control that sitting and crawling need. You'll also get a clear picture of what's typical across this whole stage, plus the honest signs that are worth a check-in, so you can support your baby with more confidence and a lot less second-guessing.
