Tummy time hassles and not rolling?

I'm Nicole Pates, a paediatric physio with over 15 years experience working with families and this my guideĀ to rolling for babies 3 to 7 months. The building blocks, the handling tricks and the play that supports your baby to roll, without the pressure.

Rolling is your baby's first big milestone, and a lot of the groundwork for it happens in tummy time, where your baby builds the head control, reaching and strength that rolling needs. It usually arrives, somewhere between 3 and 7 months. Whether your baby loves tummy time or loathes it, is showing no interest in rolling yet, is rolling one way only, or rolled a few times early and then paused for a breather, you'll know exactly how to meet them where they are.

Sound Familiar?

  • My baby hates tummy time
  • I have run out of ideas to play with my baby
  • My baby is nearly 6 months and not rolling yet. Every other baby seems to be doing it.
  • My baby only rolls one way. How can I help them?
  • My baby was rolling and now they don't do it anymore!

Your baby is not broken and neither are you.Ā

Inside the course you'll get practical ways to make tummy time easier and more enjoyable, including what to do about the flappy arms, the face-plants, and the baby who used to love it and suddenly doesn't. From there you'll see the mini milestones that build towards rolling, like head control, reaching and kicking for strength, and simple hands-on ways to help your baby roll both tummy to back and back to tummy. You'll also understand why some babies roll early and then seem to stop, and the honest signs that are worth a check-in, so you can support your baby with more confidence and a lot less worry.
